Press Release
Florida's newest roadside attraction is closer than you think. Sculptor Mike Rivamonte, inspired by Florida's colorful history of roadside attractions, has set out to create his own. Over nine feet tall, Rex when completed, will be on display in Miami's Bakehouse Art Complex.
"I'm creating something that will bring joy and great memories for adults and kids. Florida's Tallest Wooden Robot," laughs Mike. Unlike other roadside attractions Rex can travel to "where ever smiles are needed..." such as a children's museum or hospital, science museum or fund raiser.
To fund this ambitious plan Mike is using Kickstarter Support this project and purchase limited edition prints, collectible postcards, original artwork, posters and even your own Rex.
Thank you! Please forward this to some one you know who loves art and robots!

Enjoy one of one my most recent commissions - Bo. The finish is inspired by my old 1924 Steel Duolian. More coming up in the weeks ahead.
Welcome to my site!
In it you will find a collection of my whimsical work. Each sculpture is constructed from antique, vintage and handmade materials collected from the United States, Canada and Europe. Some items are well over 100 years old. Each have their own unique history and character. They are thoughtfully assembled to make sculptures with their own personality and charm.
If you would like to purchase one, please visit the For Sale section. Check the News section for information about upcoming events and new work. If you would like to buy or commission work, would like to join my mailing list, or have any other questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
I wish to thank Lania Rivamonte for her tireless efforts and talent to make this website not only functional but also beautiful to see. Also for always smiling when I ask for that one more tweak.
Enjoy.
